A Sneak Peek at the Trade Show Floor
Members of the door, window and millwork industries will gather October 6-10 in Reno, Nev., for the 55th World Millwork Alliance (WMA) Annual Convention and Trade Show. Held at the Peppermill Resort, the event will give professionals an opportunity to view the latest door, window and millwork-related products, as well as to attend informative seminars—all while networking with their peers. Following is a look at some of the products that exhibitors are planning to display.
Boards and Moldings
Booth 726 – TLC Mouldings
TLC Mouldings plans to display its Harmony line of primed, MDF mouldings and boards, which are made of 100% Southern yellow pine chips and shavings. TLC has been offering moulding services for 125 years.
Booth 210 – AmesburyTruth
AmesburyTruth will feature its Sentry 45.63 Contemporary Hinged Door Handle, which officials say is designed with larger, modern-hinged doors in mind. The product is available in
plated and painted finishes and provides the industry-standard 92-mm spacing between handle and thumb turn. The thumb turn is located above the handle to allow for easier access to the key cylinder, and it can also be inverted for European-style locking. The handle is also available in both sliding and hinged door applications.
Booth 424 – WoodWare Systems
WoodWare Systems will show attendees the ropes on its embedded business intelligence program, DeepSee. The program gathers data from WoodWare’s own data-system in order to ensure that it stays current and in sync with transaction processing data. The software has a real-time view feature that allows you to identify trends, find and correct inefficiencies, and spot opportunities for savings.
Booth 214 – Ponderosa Software
CAI Software will showcase the company’s business management solution. The software includes a web-based sales portal technology that drives sales by offering one- and two-step distributors efficient turnaround by allowing customers to submit quotes and orders.
Dealers can order stock items, or build out customized products, create quotes and submit orders with the customer’s choice of delivery day down to the minute, and can review invoices, inventory delivery and billing.
Booth 601 – RSL
RSL plans to exhibit the Era, Tao and Uno models of its Design Collection of steel entry doors, which represent the various styles of the company’s modern design door collection. The company will also have Orleans, one of its Prestige Collection doors on hand that comes in a white or black interior and exterior finish. In door-glass, officials say they will set up Emori, Pure, Celeste and Zenith.
Booth 425 – Taylor Entrance Systems
Taylor Entrance Systems will be offering its Shaker-Style Steel Exterior Doors, a flat-panel steel door with an energy efficient core of polyurethane foam. The new 1-, 2-, and 3-panel flat shaker door styles are designed for strength, security, and durability. Constructed from 22-gauge steel with a full steel edge perimeter, these doors have earned a Grade-40 security rating. Styles are also available with Taylor’s QuickFit pre-hung services and come in 6/8 and 7/0 heights and 2/8, 2/10 and 3/0 widths with a limited lifetime warranty.

Manufacturer of Pakari Thermally-Modified clear pine decking, siding and pattern stock, Sunset Moulding Company will offer its SunXP wood components in solid and primed finger-jointed pine
or redwood for fascia, pattern stock and exterior trim boards. The company will also display Suntrim MDF mouldings and boards, pine moulding and millwork in solid lineal, as well as cut-to-length and/or finger-joint, primed pine cut stock.
