October 7th, 2013 by Editor

WM JpegWindowmaker Software has signed on as a sponsor for the fourth annual Fenestration Day™, sponsored by DWM magazine. The event will take place October 31, 2013, in Schaumburg, Ill., a suburb of Chicago. Fenestration Day brings together door and window manufacturers and dealers for joint educational sessions as well as individual sessions tailored to those groups.

Windowmaker is sponsoring the session Certifications, Standards and Codes – the Coming Consequences presented by Paul R. Gary, The Gary Law Group.

The industry is experiencing an unprecedented rise in the elements required for product certification and related product representations, driven by EPA, NFRC, AAMA and codes. The potential for unforeseen consequences is real. Learn what is coming and what you will need to navigate these challenges.

Diane Huybers, business manager, Windowmaker Software, says events like Fenestration Day fall in line with the company’s vision statement: “To be the digital lifeblood of the window industry supply chain.”

“This can only be achieved by having a comprehensive understanding of the interactions of players in that supply chain with each other: for example, dealers, fabricators, suppliers of entrance door slabs, glass inserts, IGUs, hardware, profiles, etc.,” she says. “Everything is constantly evolving, whether it’s showing entry doors in ever-finer detail or using the latest tablets to help measure; these industry events keep us abreast of the changes and allow us to offer solutions that meet with the times and plan for the future.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with representatives of Windowmaker during the coffee break/registration and during the lunch.

Additional information, including a full event schedule, registration information and more is available on the Fenestration Day website.
