Windowizards Inc. and OKNA Windows Settles Lawsuit with Customers

Pennsylvania-based window dealer Windowizards, and a manufacturer, OKNA Windows, have settled the lawsuit against them alleging Windowizards made false product claims. The lead plaintiff, Quinna Cooper, was designated as the lead plaintiff and was awarded $5,000 as an incentive payment for serving as lead plaintiff, according to court documents. The case was closed earlier this month when the case was settled in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey on January 10.

Charles A. “Chip” Gentry of Carson & Coil, P. C., a law Firm in Jefferson City, Mo., represented OKNA Windows in the case.

“OKNA is pleased to put this particular case behind them so they are able to focus on their primary interests which is customer satisfaction and product development,” says Gentry.

He added that the judge awarded the plaintiffs’ attorneys a “relatively modest fee.” Plaintiffs included all New Jersey residents who purchased ComfortWeld Windows from Windowizards from January 1, 2006 to July 31, 2009.
