Wincore Windows and Doors Expands Creating New Jobs in GeorgiaJune 14th, 2021 by Editor
Wincore Windows and Doors, manufacturer of vinyl windows and fiberglass entry doors, recently expanded its Swainsboro, Ga., manufacturing facilities by more than 100,000-square-feet, increasing production capabilities and initially adding an additional 100 job opportunities. Wincore commenced operations in the Swainsboro area in April of 2019 with a 75,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility. Citing a sharp increase in demand for products, the company says it needed to expand manufacturing space and skilled workforce. The new facility is adjacent to the company’s original Swainsboro facility that opened two years ago.
Prior to the expansion, Wincore employed 171 individuals at its Swainsboro facility. The expansion has allowed the manufacturer to increase that number by more than 100, adding inventory specialists, loading personnel, quality technicians, maintenance and production workers.
According to Ken Warnock, CEO of the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority, the workforce expansion makes Wincore the fourth-largest employer in Emanuel County.
Clark Davis, president of Wincore, said the company is excited about the expansion and the opportunities it provides.
“The facility and workforce expansion in Swainsboro helps us continue to meet our customers’ demands with precision, skill and consistent, dependable delivery of our products,” Davis said. “The integrity and quality of the employees we have found in the Swainsboro area is extremely favorable, and we are excited about the successes that this facility and team are going to help us achieve in the years to come.”
The new Swainsboro facility is already under full operation, with initial products shipped in early May. Growth for the company is not limited to Georgia operations. The company also recently opened a new fiberglass entry door manufacturing facility in Mineral Wells, W.V., to continue to meet accelerated customer demand.
