Win-Door Innovation Presentations Set

October 23rd, 2015 by Editor

The Win-door North America organizing committee has released the lineup for the Innovation Presentations on opening night of the Win-door trade show, which will be held November 3-5 in Toronto.

This new event puts these exhibitors at center stage for 10 minutes each to deliver a presentation to Win-door attendees.

Here are the Innovation Presentation exhibitors:

Alain Gervais of Renotrend Applications Inc. will showcase his company’s Façade Windows and Doors Designer, a fenestration application for iPads. The app shows clients how their replacement doors and windows will look before installation work is started. With Façade, you can add virtual doors and windows on top of an actual image. The application features different styles of doors and windows and many options and colors to virtually create a brand-new design to a home in a matter of minutes, according to the company.

Joe Peilert, the president and CEO of Veka, will give a presentation about Veka Academy, a training program designed for entry- to mid-level sales, production, engineering, purchasing, marketing and management personnel. It’s a two-day event taught by dedicated employees who have years of experience in the industry.

Ken Kussen of Mastergrain, a maker of fiberglass entry doors, will talk about his company’s contemporary design slabs.

Alex Carroll of Verre Select will give a presentation on his company’s Urban Frame line.

Diane Huybers of Windowmaker Software will talk about  Windowmaker Measure, a free app that allows a salesperson or installer to capture photos and add text or voice annotations for each opening on a building. It automatically calculates the dimensions of the doors and windows when the photos are captured. The measure sheet can then be emailed to the head office directly from the device, thus replacing paper-based measure forms. That dramatically shortens the time required to transfer measure details to the head office, according to the company.

Adam Everett of ODL Canada will present the company’s Blinds Between Glass, a program that offers a customizable glass product.

Arie Booi of Vinyl Systems Ltd. will talk about his company’s window concepts, which use four seals instead of three concealed mullion covers. They feature raised hinge tracks, and the sash accepts full triple glass with maximum spacers, according to the company.

James Scott of Canadian Building Envelope Science and Technology will show off the Smart-Lab kit for lab- or field-testing air leakage, water resistance and uniform load resistance. Computer control and logging make it easier to read and report results, the company says, and all pass/fail criteria are calculated for the technician.

Frédéric D’Anjou of Groupe Eugenie will discuss his company’s door solutions, which it says are the industry’s only smart connected machines.

Maryann Vigliotta of Skyreach L&S Extrusions will talk about her company’s PD02/PD04/PD06 and 4800 Hopper Window System.

Carrie Scheetz of Quanex Building Products will show off the Mikron C3-11300TM AW-Rated window and door system, which Quanex says is the only operable AW-rated PVC window and door system that meets NAFS.
