WDMA Announces New Leadership Team

Steve Tourek

A new leadership team was installed at the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) Board of Directors meeting on February 26. The Board elected Steve Tourek of Marvin as the association’s 2021-2023 chair. Tourek replaces outgoing Chair Bob Lewis of Masonite International Corporation.

“When I was last elected to serve as Board Chair, our industry was facing the most difficult challenge imaginable: The Great Housing Recession. Today, as we begin to emerge from the shadow of COVID-19, our industry’s challenges are much different but nonetheless demanding: safely satisfying the increased demand for high quality, high performance windows and doors amidst the broader need for housing that is affordable,” said Tourek. “WDMA will have a leading role to play in navigating the industry’s changed operating environment and I’m privileged to be able to work with my fellow Board members, our talented staff and our dedicated volunteers in that collective effort.”

Tourek is Marvin’s senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Marvin is headquartered in Warroad, Minn., with more than 6,000 employees across 16 cities in North America.

“I’m looking forward to working with Steve as WDMA’s new chair. His dedication and commitment to the success of the association and the industry as a whole will be invaluable as we address the challenges ahead and advance the strategic objectives of the association,” said WDMA president and CEO Michael O’Brien. “I also want to thank Bob Lewis for his work and the time he has spent leading WDMA and advancing our agenda.”

In addition to Tourek, the other members of the 2021-2022 WDMA Executive Committee are:

• Vice Chair/Treasurer: Emily Videtto, Pella Corporation, Pella, Iowa;
• Executive Committee Door Representative: Fenton Challgren, Therma-Tru Doors, Maumee, Ohio;
• Executive Committee Window Representative: Jeff DeLonay, Kolbe Windows & Doors, Wausau, Wis;
• Executive Committee Supplier Representative: Dave Pinder, Cardinal Glass Industries, Eden Prairie, Minn;
• Immediate Past Chair: Bob Lewis, Masonite International, Tampa, Fla.
