View Dynamic Glass Publishes Environmental Product Declaration

January 5th, 2017 by Editor

View has published an environmental product declaration (EPD) for its View Dynamic Glass, verified by UL Environment. The EPD certification, combined with View’s Health Product Declaration (HPD) and Declare label, provides architects, building owners, developers and other specifiers with independent, third-party verification of environmental performance benefits for View Dynamic Glass.

The EPD for View Dynamic Glass earns points in the LEED certification process for building projects, specifically the Materials and Resources category of LEED v4, the latest green building standard. View Dynamic Glass can assist in achieving multiple additional credits for high-performance green building certification through reduced energy consumption, increased user controllability and improved thermal comfort and daylighting.

“The EPD process helps us optimize the environmental footprint of our product and manufacturing process,” said Brian Harrison, chief operating officer at View. “We are pleased to increase the materials transparency of View Dynamic Glass and demonstrate its environmental profile, which support our ongoing efforts to meet the highest level of environmental sustainability and performance standards.”
