Time to Evolve

This will be a different kind of blog today. I want to let you know that I have decided to change career paths. I’m going to work with a very good friend of mine, Brian Zimmerman of Zen Windows of Charlotte.

This is a great opportunity and I am excited to work with Brian again. I have blogged about Zen Windows in the past and their business model has been the subject of several articles.

Also, I am looking forward to how this change might bring different perspectives to all of you. Instead of a manufacturing viewpoint in my blog, you will get a blend of manufacturing mixed with retail.

In addition, I am excited to spend more time with my family. I have been married for 20 years and joke that I have only been present for half of this. I have consistently logged 150 nights away from home per year for many years. Should I be worried if my wife has pitched a tent in the backyard for me? Seriously, my two daughters and my wife want and need me around more, and I am excited to oblige. More on this in a future blog post.

Zen Windows has been around for a long time, and the business model continues to evolve and be refined. For those of you unfamiliar with the model, the franchise markets and sells windows to homeowners using the internet and email as mediums. I like to say it is the “Amazon of windows.” I relish this new adventure with my friend, Brian Zimmerman.

Great Selling!
