Software Companies Enter Into Strategic Partnership

A+W Software, which manufactures software for glass and windows, and Smart-Builder, a glass design software company, have announced a strategic partnership they say will benefit their mutual customers.

According to the announcement, A+W and Smart-Builder have developed a certified interface that allows a seamless integration from the Smart-Builder configurator into the A+W ERP and production systems, allowing customers to design frameless glass structures such as showers, shop fronts, balustrades and backsplashes. Customers can then create a quotation and order based on the detailed design and real purchasing and manufacturing costs, quoting not only a price, but also a delivery date based on available capacity, logistics and manufacturing constraints. The order is then released for production, optimizing material and production costs, according to the release.

“The integration of Smart-Builder into A+W ERP systems will create remarkable benefits and advantages in competition for our customers such as increased efficiency, increased sales and reduced costs through automated processes – an ideal completion for our ERP systems,” says Dr. Uwe Schmid, A+W CEO.
