Saint-Gobain Divests Some French Glass Processing Sites

September 6th, 2022 by Editor

Last week, Saint-Gobain announced it has closed the sale of Saint-Gobain Glassolutions Grand Ouest glass processing business to private investors, led by former Saint-Gobain managers. The business, which operates glass processing in the northwest region of France and glass installation around the same country, generated sales of around 60 million Euros in 2021 and employed 420 people.

Saint-Gobain says the transaction is part of its business profile optimization strategy, consistent with the “Grow & Impact” plan objectives. By divesting Glassolutions Grand Ouest, Saint-Gobain says, its other French operations can focus on investments in “innovative solutions for sustainable construction,” such as the recent commercial launch of low carbon glass or the recycling of glass in a closed loop system.
