May 14th, 2012 by EditorRoyal Building Products is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and professional homebuilders across the United States during Home Builders Blitz 2012. Habitat for Humanity will build, rehabilitate or repair more than 200 homes in partnership with low-income families across the country as part of its Home Builders Blitz program, with work on most of these homes taking place the week of June 4. Royal Building Products will contribute vinyl siding, trim and accessories for 55 projects in Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana.
“Royal Building Products has a long history of supporting the communities where we operate,” says Mark Orcutt, executive vice president-Building Products at Royal’s parent company, Georgia Gulf Corporation. “Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity during the 2012 Home Builders Blitz is an opportunity for Royal Building Products to contribute high-quality, durable and sustainable vinyl building materials that will minimize the time and expense these families will need to spend maintaining the exterior of their homes,” Orcutt said.
“I want to thank Royal Building Products for stepping up to the plate during this challenging economic environment to work with Habitat to help improve the lives of more than 50 families in Tennessee, Indiana and Ohio,” says Steve Thomas, who is working with Habitat for Humanity International to raise awareness about Home Builders Blitz. Thomas is former host of the PBS television program This Old House and Renovation Nation on Discovery channel’s Green Planet. “This cooperative effort demonstrates the life-changing results that can occur when businesses like Royal Building Products and Habitat for Humanity work together to help those in need,” Thomas said.
Royal Building Products will be working with ABC Supply Co. Inc. and Modern Builders Supply to contribute three of its brands of siding for the homes it is supporting during Home Builders Blitz 2012.
