An employee of Cardinal Glass Industries died in an accident at the company’s Durant, Okla., float glass plant, according to a local media report.

KTEN News, a local NBC affiliate, reported that a male employee got caught in machinery at the facility Thursday and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The news station cited Bryan County EMS and the Durant Fire Department as its sources.  DWM has reached out to Cardinal and the fire department for confirmation and additional information. Stay tuned for updates as they are made available.

Durant Fire Chief Roger Joines tells DWM, “We received a call for medical help from Cardinal Glass. When we arrived, the patient had been brought out of the building. We do not have any particulars other than it was a crush injury.”
