Renolit and Rehau Cancel Participation in Fensterbau Frontale 2022

On the heels of VEKA’s withdrawal from the show, film manufacturer Renolit and Rehau Window Solutions have also canceled their participation in Fensterbau/Frontale 2022.

A statement on the Renolit website credits the uncertainties in the context of the pandemic, already canceled trade fair visits by numerous major customers and concern for the health of customers and employees that made the decision “inevitable.”

“It is a very difficult step for us to have to do without our leading trade fair in the European market for the second time, but unfortunately the framework conditions did not allow any other step,” says Stefan Friedrich, head of the exterior solutions business unit.

In 2022, the company has plans to present the new products planned for the fair to its customers and to replace the missing communication platform.

Rehau Window Solutions made its announcement on December 20 via a press release. The company says it has always sought proximity and direct exchange with its partners. This communication is currently not possible at a major international trade fair in a secure and at the same time meaningful framework, the company stated.

“As a system provider that is consistently geared towards our partners and employees, we always focus on safety and health. Due to the persistently dynamic pandemic situation, it is currently not possible to translate both of these into a target-oriented concept in the vicinity of a major international trade fair,” says Carsten Heuer, head of Rehau Window Solutions. The company adds that there were enormous restrictions and complications in international business trips all over the world. This is reflected in a significant decline in the number of participants, especially at international trade fairs.

Rehau Window Solutions regrets the cancellation of the event in Nuremberg, which will continue to be a leading international trade fair for the industry in the future. At the same time, the system house is looking positively into the future and is looking forward to a year 2022 with many innovations and an intensive exchange with window professionals worldwide.

“Together we will continue the great success of 2021 and also offer numerous innovative and holistic solutions in 2022 that give the markets successful answers to global megatrends such as sustainability, digitization and urbanization,” said Heuer.

The Rehau press release also mentions other related companies who have canceled their participation.
