ProVia Honored for World Vision Work
March 4th, 2016 by EditorProVia was honored with World Vision’s Crystal Vision Award during the recent International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas for the company’s longstanding commitment to helping families in need.
ProVia, headquartered in Sugar Creek, Ohio, has been a World Vision donor since 2004. The company donates and delivers doors and windows weekly to the World Vision Storehouse in Philippi, W. Va.
“Over the years, this has amounted to millions of dollars in product and transportation costs,” said Mary Garcia, corporate relations director for World Vision. “However, that is not all. In August of 2011 during their annual sales conference, they supplied hundreds of backpacks to Title I schools in the Pittsburgh area. They have also provided funds to World Vision for international disaster relief during the Japanese earthquake. ProVia staff and family members have also volunteered time at our Philippi, W. Va., Storehouse working directly with families to rebuild. One of ProVia’s divisions, Heartland Siding, has provided many loads of siding to families in need and following major natural disasters in the Southeast.”
Craig Mullet, vice president of corporate care for ProVia Products, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
