The World Millwork Alliance (WMA) will hold its 55th Annual Convention and Tradeshow, October 6th-10th, 2019, in Reno, Nev. The will bring together industry leaders and decision makers, including millwork distributors, manufacturers of products and services, sales representatives and other industry professionals at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino.

“The WMA event is … a chance for attendees to stay abreast of the latest updates in the marketplace and learn what the future holds for the industry,” said Rosalie Leone, CEO of the World Millwork Alliance. “The convention program incorporates both business and social events two exhibit hall days for attendees to gain product knowledge, while allowing for effective networking opportunities and strengthen relationships with industry partners.”

This year’s convention will offer a lineup of industry professionals sharing their perspective on the current status and opportunities in the millwork industry while covering core business topics. The convention kicks off with a day of education beginning with a session titled, “Managing in an Uncertain Economy,” presented by Alex Chausovsky of ITR Economics and providing attendees practical business guidance based upon the current and future economic environment.

Bradley Hartmann from Behind Your Back Sales will present a workshop focused on millwork sales leadership called, “What Purchasing Managers Say Behind Your Back.” OSHA Compliance Officer, Todd Bradley, will discuss safety management systems in his presentation, “How OSHA Programs Can Enhance Your Safety Program,” and attendees will learn about the necessity of formulating a “Game Plan for a Revolution in the Millwork Industry” during the presentation of the same name by Greg Brooks from Building Supply Channel, Inc.

“Women in Millwork” will come together to share best practices and exchange views as they engage in relevant industry and workplace discussion. WMA’s Opening General Session will feature as keynote speaker the major league baseball star Jim Abbott, who will share his strategies for overcoming adversity.
