Pleotint has reached a distribution partnership with Solar Innovations Inc., enabling Solar Innovations to incorporate Suntuitive glass in its full product line.

Solar Innovations, a Pennsylvania-based window manufacturer, operates out of a 300,000-square-foot corporate office and manufacturing facility and is a single-source producer of a variety of residential and commercial windows, doors, curtainwalls and glazed structures.

“Solar Innovations has always been on the cutting-edge of technology, not only with our own product designs, but also with integrating innovative products from other companies,” says Solar Innovations marketing manager Melissa Reinhart. “Although we also work with other dynamic glass suppliers, Suntuitive glass by Pleotint offers expansive opportunities for residential and commercial projects.

“The facts that there are no wires and installation doesn’t require an electrician are unique advantages. We intend to offer Suntuitive glass with any and all of our windows and doors, and we will be able to retrofit our older systems and those from other manufacturers as well.”

According to Pleotint, when paired with low-E glass in an insulating glass unit, Suntuitive glass can produce visible light transmittance of as high as 60 percent in a clear state, solar heat gain coefficients of as low as 0.11 in a darkened state, and reduce heating-, cooling-, and lighting-related energy costs.
