PCBC Keynote Speakers Cover Crucial Topics
May 18th, 2018 by EditorPCBC 2018, the largest homebuilding trade show in the Western United States, has commissioned award-winning photographer Platon, best-selling author Patrick Lencioni, and Jay Rogers, CEO and co-founder of Local Motors, to keynote at the June 27 – 28, 2018 PCBC industry show in San Francisco.
“When selecting keynote speakers, our goal is to find the right people with the most powerful message,” said Linda Baysari, PCBC senior vice president, meetings and conventions. “The speakers selected for PCBC 2018 bring both creative inspiration and business savvy to the industry. The sessions are designed to inspire attendees to think differently about their business approach—each presenter will encourage innovation and determination as a catalyst to professional and personal growth. We’re pleased to welcome this elite group of speakers to our annual event.”
The three selected keynote speakers represent varied backgrounds.
Platon – Powerful Portraits: An Intimate Look at Humanity and Leadership: Platon’s work has been seen on the pages of TIME, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. This award-winning photographer has captured the portraits of world leaders, celebrities, soldiers, civil rights leaders, and human rights champions. He will share stories behind some of the most iconic photos of our generation. Each story and photo lend perspective to current cultural behavior.
Patrick Lencioni – The Untapped Advantage of Organizational Health: A best-selling author and CEO of the Table Group, Lencioni helps leaders and organizations shift their focus to becoming healthier, with minimal politics and confusion, high degrees of morale and productivity, and low turnover among good people, allowing them to tap into the intelligence and expertise they already have.
Jay Rogers – Manufacturing Renaissance? … or … Revolution?: Jay Rogers is the founder and CEO of Local Motors, a technology company that is defining vehicle development by pairing micro-manufacturing with co-creations. Rogers is leading a next-generation car company – the first to utilize Direct Digital Manufacturing (DDM) in vehicle production, and debuted the world’s first 3-D-printed car, the Strati, in September 2014 and then the Olli, the world’s first co-created, self-driving, electric and cognitive shuttle with Watson. This disruptive company is redefining the development of connected hardware by pairing micro-manufacturing with co-creation.
In addition to dynamic keynote speakers, the education sessions will include speakers from across many housing industry disciplines to include land and capital, multifamily and, new to PCBC, remodeling.
