Patrick Goodrich Promoted to COO of Seaway Manufacturing Corp.
May 16th, 2019 by EditorSeaway Manufacturing Corp. announced the promotion of Patrick Goodrich, former vice president of operations, to the position of chief operating officer. The son of Seaway Manufacturing president and CEO Jana Goodrich and vice president and CEO, Michael Goodrich, the younger Goodrich has been with the family business in a variety of roles, starting as a child, sweeping floors. During his college years, he worked as an installer and now has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic
Institute.
“It’s a huge honor to have the opportunity to be a part of not only our family legacy, but a longstanding tradition of American-based manufacturing,” said Patrick Goodrich. “I feel my engineering background has prepared me well for the opportunities that lie ahead, and I look forward to continuing the evolution of Seaway with our dedicated team.”
Following college, Goodrich worked as an applications engineer for a Fortune 500 company, where he learned the Six Sigma philosophy and lean protocols, receiving a Green Belt level certification. He also served as an application engineer for Fenetech before returning to Seaway.
Prior to his most recent role, Goodrich served as an operations engineer, an operations manager and as vice president of operations for Seaway.
“At each step of his Seaway career, Patrick has excelled and has earned the respect of the Seaway team as well as our clients and vendors,” said Jana Goodrich. “This new title really reflects what he has already been doing for the past two years. Patrick and I have worked closely together on nearly every aspect of Seaway’s business, from operations to marketing to strategic direction.”
Seaway Manufacturing was founded in Erie, Pa., in 1959.
