NLBMDA Applauds Senate for COVID-19 Relief Bill

March 26th, 2020 by Emmariah Holcomb

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) recently issued a statement regarding the U.S. Senate’s passage of a $2 trillion relief package, which contains several programs to assist businesses, including the NLBMDA-backed Qualified Improvement Act (QIP) fix.

“NLBMDA applauds the Senate for taking this important step to stabilize the U.S. economy and provide relief to American businesses and workers,” said Jonathan Paine, NLBMDA president and CEO. “In particular, we are pleased that the Senate took our recommendations on loans for small businesses and the qualified improvement property fix, which NLBMDA members have been pushing Congress for.”

The association continues to engage with Congress and other industry stakeholders as this legislation moves to the House of Representatives.
