Industrial Opportunity Partners Completes Sale of Alexandria Mouldings
Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP) recently announced it completed the sale of portfolio company Alexandria Moulding to U.S. Lumber Group (USL). This marks the IOP’s fourth investment realization from a $275 million second fund. The terms of the sale are undisclosed.
Alexandria Moulding, acquired by IOP in April of 2016, is an Ontario, Canada-based supplier of mouldings and millwork to residential markets in North America. The company operates six manufacturing facilities and four distribution centers.
“I believe Alexandria Moulding’s leadership team and its employee base have worked hard to bring value to its customers through excellent customer service, a focus on 100 percent fill rates and a wide selection of quality products, and I believe the company is well positioned for its future under USL’s ownership,” says David Mackin, IOP operating principal and former chairman of Alexandria Moulding’s board.
Officials for IOP say they believe both businesses will benefit from the significant expansion in scale and product line, as well as added depth in customer and supplier relationships.
“We would like to thank the outstanding management team of the company, led by president Andre Cholette, and wish them continued success in the future,” says Kyle Hood, director of IOP.
President of Alexandria Moulding, Andre Cholette, says his company has had tremendous success and a great partnership with IOP, suggesting that the move marks, “a natural progression for Alexandria Moulding to find a strategic partner with a similar business model and set of core values,” he adds.
