Milgard to Open New Plant in Texas, Create 150 JobsMarch 12th, 2015 by Editor
Milgard Windows & Doors will open a new manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, on April 9. It’s the first Milgard plant in Texas, and it’s expected to create over 150 jobs during the next four years.
In 2010, Milgard entered the Texas market with products manufactured and delivered from the company’s plants in Denver, Phoenix and Tacoma.
The new facility puts Milgard closer to customers in Texas and parts of Oklahoma, enabling faster deliveries and better customer service. In addition to the Grand Prairie manufacturing plant, Milgard has service and sales centers in Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Houston.
“Texas is attractive to us for many reasons, including its tremendous housing market growth. We’ve found Texas to have a very business-friendly environment and have enjoyed strengthening our partnerships with local dealers and trade professionals. It’s an optimal time for Milgard to invest in putting more resources to better serve these customers,” said Randy Buchanan, general manager of Milgard’s Texas facilities.
