Quick and Easy Protection

To help ensure that doors and hinges arrive in pristine condition, Ideal Door Components introduced a new hinge protector. Officials say the company’s specific blend of non-marring materials is slightly pliable, also helping to reduce production time by making it easier to install than traditional protectors and rubber bands.

Role Reversal

A new design by Monumental Windows and Doors upends the typical design for rollers to make them more robust, easy to use and maintain. The 5000 Series Sublinear System works on a patent-pending principle that reverses the typical rolling assembly, moving the track from the sill assembly into the bottom of sliding panels, while roller cartridges are placed into the sill. The series is the company’s newest slim-line sliding glass door system, designed to provide unobscured views. The frame is designed to install flush with interior and exterior finishes, with 7/8-inch sightlines. Roller cartridges house twin polyamide precision rollers that can support approximately 350 lbs. each.

The 5000 Sublinear line offers standard sliding, pocketing, corners, and custom-angle configurations, as well as the company’s Vari-Slide design, with single and multiple panels. The system also integrates with the Sublinear Pivot door system.
