Huttig Expanding Florida Warehouse
April 15th, 2019 by EditorIn a move that officials say will allow it to offer a broader product mix, Huttig Building Products has expanded its warehouse facility by over 200,000 square-feet, doubling its capacity. The expansion, along with doubling its interior and exterior door production capabilities, has allowed the company to offer a one-truck solution with reduced lead times, officials say. Huttig says it has also doubled its fastener inventory and can now offer next service day delivery on all Huttig-Grip fastener products.
“The Central Florida expansion will allow us to increase the depth and breadth of our current product lines while allowing us to expand our Huttig Grip fastener line to the largest in the state,” says Robert Pearce, Eastern regional vice president. “We are excited about the opportunities this will give us to better serve our customers.”
The company’s one-truck solution includes the complete lines of Azek, ThermaTru, Masonite, TimberTech and Huttig-Grip fasteners.
Greg Terlep, general manager of Huttig-Central Florida, goes on to say, “This expansion also improves our efficiencies with our core millwork product lines and production capabilities that we have traditionally been known for. At the end of the day it’s all about adding value and providing exceptional service for our valued customers. This expansion gives us the tools to continue to improve and be the best supply solution in the market, allowing us to meet all of our customers’ needs.”
