From my first Win-door show and including this year’s upcoming show, set for Nov. 3-5 in Toronto, I will have worn many hats–attendee, exhibitor, association member, part of the organizing committee, etc. Every show brings something new to light.
A new product or service, new relationships with suppliers or customers, the opportunity to reunite with past co-workers, friends and colleagues, networking possibilities, the opportunity to give back to those less fortunate or needing assistance. I think back on past Win-door shows and how they have positively impacted my career. As an exhibitor, there was no better place or time to showcase a new product or service and receive immediate response and feedback.
Many of my successes can be directly attributed to the opportunities provided by exhibiting at Win-door. From the buzz around the show floor as potential and current customers examined exhibits, to the anticipation of that planned visitor finally making their way to your booth, the months of planning, hours of preparation and focused pre-advertising were finally coming to a head.
The new-product showcase was also an area I took advantage of. It double my chances of gaining interest and exposing the casual attendee to what my company had to offer. It was an important display that allowed potential customers to examine the product under controlled conditions, at their own pace. An extended review of the product always led to a visit by the person or company to our exhibit, usually armed with one or two other representatives from the same company.
Now that the new featured Innovation Station area will be front and center at the show, any exhibitor taking advantage of this free display area will reap great rewards.
