Great Day Acquires ApexNovember 23rd, 2020 by Editor
Officials for Great Day Improvements LLC announced last week the acquisition of Indianapolis-based Apex Energy Solutions. The deal marks two acquisitions for the Macedonia, Ohio-based company over the past 18 months, including Hartshorn Custom Contracting in June 2019.
Founded in 2000, Apex is a patio door and replacement window provider that operates 19 company- and franchise-owned operations. According to officials, the company has “tripled in size” over the past five years, now including a workforce of 580 employees across 48 metropolitan markets. Great Day is a direct-to-consumer dealer, offering products under the Stanek brand of windows. According to a company announcement, the acquisition is part of a long-term growth strategy.
“We continue to seek acquisition opportunities in the direct-to-consumer building products and home improvement services sector as part of our ‘Strategic Transactions’ initiative,” says Ed Weinfurtner, chairperson for Great Day Improvements. “Businesses that can be additive in terms of people, products, capabilities, and new geographic markets are highly desired. Apex Energy Solutions is a great example of the kind of business that fits with the long-term goals of our organization.”
Michael Hoy, president and CEO for Great Day Improvements says Apex’s geographical footprint is also complimentary, “opening up additional growth and expansion possibilities nationwide.”
