Grafco, a profile wrapping supplier based in Woodbridge, Ontario, is closing its doors after 58 years as a family-run business. The company sent a letter to customers today notifying them of the news. Mike Grafe, owner, told [DWM] back in December 2021 that the company was in the process of selling. But in the letter sent to customers today from Alan Grafe, those plans, unfortunately, fell through.
“It is with great sadness that after 58 years, we have decided to close our doors,” said Alan Grafe in the letter. “The deal to acquire us went south in a hurry, and left us with this unfortunate decision. Dad and I both acquiesce that it has been a wonderful ride with all of you, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for permitting us to be a part of your success. Together we grew this industry, and we will never forget any of you, for helping us along the way. We will be attempting to call all of you to say our goodbyes, and hope that it won’t be the last time.”
The letter did not state when the company would officially close, and at press time, company representatives could not be reached for further comment.
