Gord Seier Voted President of Fenestration Manitoba

March 15th, 2021 by Editor

The Board of Fenestration Manitoba voted to elect Gord Seier as its new president on March 10, following Al Dueck, who had previously announced his intention to step down from the role.

In a press release issued after the vote, Fenestration Manitoba said, “The Board of Directors wishes to thank Al Dueck for his unwavering devotion to our industry and particularly to Fenestration Manitoba. Without his will and determination, our membership and accomplishments would not be what they are today. FenCon, Al’s brainchild, has come from an idea only a few years ago to a sought-after international gathering bringing manufacturers from across North America to Winnipeg to network and learn. What a great accomplishment – one that has brought visibility to Fenestration Manitoba and our industry. Al, Fenestration Manitoba owes you a debt of gratitude!”

Dueck remains an active member of Fenestration Manitoba and will be spearheading FenCon 22 once more favorable travel and in-person meeting conditions have been met.

Seier brings what the organization calls “a wealth of industry knowledge, experience and connections,” as he has been an active participant in the window and door Industry for many years.

After starting his career at Willmar Windows, where he developed extensive experience in manufacturing, Seier spent most of his career in the fenestration industry and has experience in the vinyl, fiberglass, wood and glass sectors.
“His technical background makes him an ideal candidate for leading our Industry. Gord’s implication and volunteering is not limited to his industry but also extends to his community. Gord has volunteered in many Fenestration Manitoba events, serving also on IGMAC’s certification committees while being an active member Toastmasters for 15 years and being involved with Mission Mobilizers,” stated the press release.
