Forbes has released its sixth annual World’s Best Employers for 2022 and several glass, glazing and fenestration companies made the list. The winners were chosen based on an independent survey by Statista Inc.
Statista polled 150,000 full- and part-time workers across 57 countries about their employment experience, including working conditions, salary, the potential for growth, diversity and how likely they would be to recommend their employer to a family member or friend.
For 3M, which was ranked No. 35 in the conglomerate category, the honor is a culmination of hard work to provide an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all employees
“It is an honor to be recognized for our corporate impact and image, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility,” 3M said in a statement.
The list includes:
For Andersen, the placement among the world’s best employers is a result of investing in employees.
“Our employees are our greatest asset and the foundation of our success as a company. Investing in our employees as individuals furthers our commitment to inspiring every employee to achieve their full potential, making Andersen a globally recognized employer of choice and a special place to work,” says Chris Galvin, president and chief operating officer at Andersen
In addition to being named in Forbes’ annual list, Dow announced that it recently was named one of the best workplaces in manufacturing and production by Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine.
Great Place to Work® is the only company culture award in the U.S. that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they nurture a great employee experience taking into consideration all aspects including race, gender, age, disability status, and job responsibilities.
“This award from Fortune and Great Place to Work® is a testimony to one of our core beliefs — that our greatest differentiator will always be the people of Team Dow,” says Jim Fitterling, Dow chairperson and CEO. “Our people come first, and we know that translates into us delivering the products and solutions that benefit all our stakeholders and help solve some of society’s most pressing challenges.”
