Fensterbau Frontale Rescheduled for July

January 18th, 2022 by Tara Taffera

Fensterbau Frontale, the window and door trade show held every two years in Nuremberg, Germany, has been rescheduled once again due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. Originally, set to take place in March 2020, it was first rescheduled for June 2020, then March 2021. It is now set for July 12-15, 2022. Show organizers say the event was rescheduled in close consultation with exhibitors.

“Although we are allowed to continue to run exhibitions, our customers still have a strong sense of uncertainty,” says Petra Wolf, member of the management board, NürnbergMesse. “And given the dynamic nature of the infection situation, we unfortunately cannot rule out the possibility that legislation at a national and state level will have to be adapted or made more stringent at short notice.”

The course of the COVID-19 pandemic and the postponement of other industry events in the first quarter of 2022 have contributed to the uncertainty among exhibitors, according to a press release announcing the date change.

In fact, multiple exhibitors made recent announcements saying they wouldn’t be present at the March 2022 event including VEKA, Deceuninck, Renolit, Rehau, and more.

“By acting early to reschedule Fensterbau Frontale to a date in summer, we are accommodating the wishes of many exhibitors to provide a meeting place for the industry where they can network and do business in a positive atmosphere in 2022,” says Elke Harreiss, director Fensterbau Frontale. “To achieve this, we are relying on a hygiene and access concept that has already proven successful and combines our customers’ needs for personal interaction with safety in the best possible way. We are very grateful for the many constructive conversations with the advisory boards and industry representatives, which provided significant encouragement for this decision.”

[DWM] reached out to several exhibitors who were slated to showcase in the original show dates. One simply told us they are currently considering their options given this new announcement, while VEKA confirmed they will not participate in the new dates, and instead they are focusing on an individual event for their partners later in the year.
