Dow Corning Corp., a Midland, Mich.-based manufacturer of silicones, silicon-based technology has hired Yujie (Jessica) Ding as the company’s North American regional marketer for coatings and construction chemicals. Ding comes to Dow Corning from Chemtura Corp., where she worked in commercial and marketing roles in the industrial performance products and urethanes divisions.

In her role, Ding will be responsible for deepening Dow Corning’s market understanding in the coatings and construction chemicals markets and for developing and implementing tactical marketing plans. She will be based at the company’s headquarters.

“I enjoy working in the specialty chemical industry, and Dow Corning is one of the most innovative companies in the field,” Ding says.

Ding holds a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Nanjing (China) University.
