Mark Thompson, CEO of the Friedman Operating Group, announced Peter Dixen has been named CEO of A+W Software GmbH. Dixen will succeed Dr. Uwe Schmid.

“We would like to thank Dr. Schmid for his role in strengthening A+W’s product offering and market leadership under his tenure and we wish him every success in his future career,” the company says in a release.

Dixen has assumed full responsibility for the worldwide operations of the A+W Software operating unit, according to Friedman. Dixen brings more than 20 years of glass and fenestration IT industry experience to his new role. His previous experience includes 13 years as IT application and internal software development director for an international glass company, A+W support manager focused on key accounts and, most recently, A+W vice president sales and marketing.
