Cleveland’s Novagard Helps Tornado-Ravaged DaytonJuly 11th, 2019 by Editor
The Dayton, Ohio, area was devastated by more than 15 tornadoes in May, with extensive damage to homes and businesses from rain and high winds. In the wake of those disasters, officials for Cleveland-based Novagard Solutions Inc. say their company has donated 38 skids of NovaFlex and NovaBond silicone and hybrid construction sealants and weather-stripping. The company, which manufactures foams, sealants, coatings, lubricants and thermal management products, has clients across several industries, including the construction industry, and donated materials directly to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton for installing windows, doors, siding, shutters and roofs. Two trucks, donated by MDL Logistics, transported the materials, which included more than 30,000 tubes of caulk. The plan is for thousands of homes to be repaired and made livable before winter sets in on the damaged community.
“We have many employees from the Dayton area, and we felt this was a great opportunity to step in and address a critical need,” says Sarah Nash, CEO of Novagard. “Novagard is in a position to help with the recovery and repair of scores of homes. We also appreciate the partnership with Habitat for Humanity which is coordinating the use of our products directly with contractors.”
