BHMA to Hold October Meeting in Florida

October 15th, 2013 by Editor

The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) will hold its annual membership meeting on October 22-24 in Palm Coast, Fla., at Hammock Beach Resort. The meeting will prioritize 2014 initiatives, including the launch of BHMA’s residential standards program, and members will assess the progress of the ongoing work of the industry’s strategic and technical teams.

“Leading the development of Product Category Rules, revamping the Web site, and rebuilding the BHMA Certified Products Directory in order to enhance users’ search and our ability to update listings daily are a few of the projects completed in 2013,” says BHMA executive director Ralph Vasami.  “Our momentum in standards will continue in 2014 with development of two new standards for the commercial hardware market as we open a residential standards program that will be introduced with a standard for locks and deadbolts.”

BHMA has invited guest speaker John Pack, director of higher education security solutions for security firm G4S, to address BHMA on the timely subject of school security.  He will share his experience and expertise, gained over 20 years as a security solutions provider to the education community.
