Winpro‘s Screen Express and Screen Express SS machines automate the process of spline insertion on door and window screens.

“Winpro is mindful of valuable floor space and the footprints of necessary equipment for manufacturers,” says Kirstie Ratzer-Farley, marketing coordinator. “With that in mind, we developed the option of a swing-arm-mounted operator station on Screen Express and Screen Express SS.”

An optional swing arm operator station is positioned so the operator has access to it while performing loading and unloading processes. The station offers all of the functionality of a pedestal unit, Ratzer-Farley says, but eliminates the need for additional floor space. With the addition of the swing arm, an interconnect cable strung between the pedestal and the Screen Express machine was also eliminated.

Both machines have also been updated with wireless technologies for bar code reading, including both 1D and 2D scanning.
