Association of Millwork Distributors Celebrates its 50th Annual Convention & Tradeshow
August 19th, 2014 by Casey FloresThe Association of Millwork Distributors (AMD) will hold its 50th Annual Convention & Tradeshow October 19-23 in Tampa, Fla. The event will take place in the Tampa Convention Center and Marriott Waterside Hotel.
“For 50 years, the Annual AMD Convention has been a vital tradeshow and conference for all facets of the millwork industry, with innovative new products and services being showcased by manufacturers and suppliers worldwide,” says Rosalie Leone, chief executive director of the organization. “The education sessions, networking events, business meetings and roundtable discussions add value and opportunity for millwork industry professionals while targeting core issues driving business today.”
The convention will offer a lineup of professional speakers sharing their perspective on the current health and wellness of the millwork and building industry and our economy in general. The educational sessions will feature:
- Robert Podorefsky, market strategist for GE Capital presenting: U.S. Housing Market
- Social media expert David Mayer, director of community at Houzz, presenting: The Empowered Client, which covers new ways that consumers are finding information and making informed buying decisions today.
- Tom Angelis, managing partner of Angelis Consulting Group, presenting: What Shareholders Wish Their Marketing and Sales Managers Understood
The keynote will be from Daymond John, founder and CEO of FUBU, who will share his philosophies and practices that have helped him find success in business and in life.
