James Burke Scheduled as WDMA's 2006 Fall Conference Keynote Speaker

James Burke, whom The Washington Post called "one of the most intriguing minds in the Western World," will be the keynote speaker at the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) 2006 Fall Conference in Las Vegas, October 27-30.

"We're excited to have someone of international repute as a global technology spokesperson addressing our membership and guests. His unique perspectives will challenge ours, especially on globalization," said WDMA chairperson Jim Hackett of Jeld-Wen. "He's the perfect keynoter for our combined technical/marketing meeting, as he addresses both disciplines superbly."

In addition to the keynote address, WDMA is presenting a major program featuring additional speakers and panelists covering eight topics. These include the industry's current concerns of Changing Demographics; Changing Home; Codes and Regulatory Environment; Demand for Green; Rising Energy Costs; Safety; Innovation; and Changing Installation Practices. An opening banquet, evening receptions and table-top exhibits from leading door, window and skylight component manufacturers are also part of the event.

The convention is open to current and prospective WDMA members. Additional details, as developed, will be featured on WDMA's website at www.wdma.com.
