American Weather Seal Breaks Ground on New Plant

American Weather Seal (AWS) of Orrville, Ohio, a manufacturer of vinyl windows and patio doors for the new construction and replacement/remodeling markets, broke ground on a new plant on February 9. Situated on 25 acres, the 180,000-square-foot, $12 million manufacturing plant will replace the plant that the company has used to manufacture windows for the last 50 years.

The company intends to have the new production facility up and running in less than a year. The new facility will enable AWS to develop a level of operating efficiency that cannot be achieved at its current site, which is necessary in the highly competitive window business, according to information from the company.
