ODL to Donate Portion of Severe Weather® Doorglass Sales to Hurricane Relief

A recent Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) poll found that a fourth of the people in the 12 east and Gulf Coast hurricane-prone states do nothing to prepare for hurricanes that could affect these areas. Consequently, the overwhelming pictures of Gulf region homes destroyed by hurricanes Katrina and Rita have prompted many homeowners to be more aware of protecting their homes against a hurricane.

To help protect homes and provide aid to people and communities victimized by these recent storm, ODL Inc. of Zeeland, Mich., is donating a portion of its sales from each Severe Weather® Doorglass unit sold from October through December 2005 to the NAHB Home Building Industry Disaster Relief Fund, according to Angelo Marasco, director of marketing.

Engineered to withstand the most damaging weather conditions, Marasco says ODL's Severe Weather Doorglass is certified for use in a range of door systems meeting Texas and Florida wind-borne debris requirements.

"ODL Severe Weather Doorglass is designed specifically for areas with hail and hurricane exposure, allowing homeowners to protect their homes while bringing natural light into their entryways and dark rooms," says Marasco.
