Nordson UV Achieves ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2000 Certification

The UV systems business of Nordson Corp. based in Amherst, Ohio, has earned the ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System certification. The certification, based on a comprehensive audit by third-party agency Det Norske Veritas (DNV), indicates that Nordson UV Systems has revised its quality management system successfully to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2000.

Nordson UV Systems was assessed and certified as meeting the requirements for design and manufacture of systems for dispensing and UV curing, sealants, structural adhesives and coatings.

"ISO requires that standards are current and meet the needs of the global community," says Ed McGhee, marketing manager. "By implementing the necessary internal processes and achieving ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2000 status, Nordson UV is demonstrating a strong commitment to continual improvement and customer satisfaction."

The International Organization for Standardization, referred to as "ISO," is a network of standards institutes of 157 countries, with a Central Secretariat in Switzerland that coordinates the system.
