AAMA Remembers Jan Hockett

It is with great regret that the American Architecural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) announces the passing of Jan Hockett. AAMA's president and chief executive officer Rich Walker made the announcement.

"Jan retired last year as the director of meetings after 25 years with AAMA, and we will miss her dearly. On March 18, she lost a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jan was a strong and vibrant woman with a huge heart and a ton of class. She not only planned great meetings; she was that 'welcome' face you always looked forward to seeing and catching up with. We held out hope for the last two years that Jan would be well enough to say goodbye in person, but it was just not meant to be.

We know that many of our members feel the same way about her and will miss her as well," says Walker.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 143 First Street, Batavia, Ill., 60510, or Maureen Sue Hockett (Jan's sister-in-law) c/o Res Care (Administrator of Affairs), 7671 Beverly Hills Drive, Indianapolis, Ind., 46268.
