Officials for Showcase Window and Door have notified the Texas Workforce Commission that the company is closing its facility in Missouri City. According to the notice, the location, at 12613 Citypark Dr., is expected to shut down September 21, 2026, affecting 61 employees. Employees have been notified and informed that their separations will be permanent, officials said. Layoffs are expected to be completed on or about the September 21 closing. Among those affected, the majority (30) work in assembly. Other positions range from accounting, managers and supervisors to drivers and outside sales.
Showcase Window and Door Company (formerly Showcase Windows and Doors) was acquired by OpenView Products LLC in November 2020, adding Showcase to a group of brands, including Hayfield Window and Door and Richlin Window and Door in Minnesota.
Michael Kutay was appointed president and CEO of OpenView in May 2022, by Drum Capital Management, a private equity sponsor, to lead OpenView through the integration. In connection with Kutay’s hiring, OpenView strategically relocated its headquarters to Houston, with the opening of a new 130,000 sq. ft. production facility in June 2022.
It’s unclear whether the closing of Showcase’s Missouri City location marks the end of the Showcase brand, or if it affects other related brands. When [DWM] reached out to Showcase, the company failed to respond.
At press time, Showcase wasn’t accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The company’s BBB rating was an ‘F.’ Reasons listed include failure to respond to five complaints filed against the company, with six complaints filed overall. According to the company’s BBB profile, it has been in business for 21 years.
Complaints range from June 2024 to August 2025, showing a recurring pattern of customers reporting difficulties obtaining warranty service, including repeated calls and emails that allegedly went unanswered, lengthy delays in receiving replacement windows and problems getting updates on pending claims. Several customers said they had been attempting to resolve warranty issues for months.
Other complaints cited defective or improperly manufactured windows, cracked glass, peeling vinyl and fogging between panes. One customer reported that more than half of 34 windows originally delivered for a new home had to be remade and later described multiple outstanding warranty claims.
In one case marked “Answered,” Showcase officials said the company was ordering materials to complete repairs and would schedule an appointment; the customer subsequently told BBB the proposed action had not yet resolved the complaint.
According to local media, the plant shares an address with Showcase’s main office, showroom and Houston sales office.
