Industry Rallies Around Jon Hauberg With Gofundme Campaign

The door and window industry is coming together to support longtime industry professional Jon Hauberg, director of product research and development for Deceuninck North America. In addition to thoughts and prayers, the support arrives via a GoFundMe campaign established by Deceuninck, following a life-altering accident leading to months of surgeries, rehabilitation and ongoing medical care. The campaign was established to help Hauberg, and his family, amid his ongoing recovery.

Hauberg has spent more than 35 years with Deceuninck, where colleagues know him for his innovation, mentorship and technical expertise. Outside of work, he is described as an avid cyclist, outdoorsman, musician and community volunteer. Just one week before his accident, he completed a 326-mile bike ride across Ohio.

“Jon has been a key figure in our industry for years. He is a brilliant engineer and innovator,” said [DWM] blogger Ray Garries, who previously worked with Hauberg. “That tragic accident came out of the blue and they need some help.”

According to the GoFundMe page, Hauberg suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and multiple skull fractures after a fall in October 2025. Since then, he has undergone emergency brain surgery, additional procedures, lengthy hospitalizations and intensive rehabilitation. He continues to require extensive therapy and assistance with daily activities while working toward regaining strength and independence, the page notes. The fundraiser also notes that his wife, Deb, was diagnosed with breast cancer during his recovery, while serving as his primary caregiver, now undergoing her own treatment. Organizers said funds raised will help offset ongoing medical expenses, rehabilitation, caregiving support, specialized transportation and other costs associated with Hauberg’s recovery.

“Jon has made a meaningful impact on colleagues, customers and partners throughout the industry. We believe sharing his story could help rally the broader building products community around someone who has given so much to it,” said Diane Hansbury, senior marketing manager for Deceuninck North America.

Those wishing to learn more or contribute can do so through the “Jon Hauberg: A Journey of Recovery, Family, and Hope” GoFundMe campaign.

Chris Scocos

Flexscreen/Ritescreen Appoints Scocos Chief Operating Officer

FlexScreen/RiteScreen recently announced the appointment of Chris Scocos as the company’s new chief operating officer (COO). Scocos reports directly to CEO David Campos, overseeing the company’s operations, supply chain, and engineering organizations.

“Chris brings an exceptional track record of operational leadership and value creation to FlexScreen/RiteScreen,” said Campos. “His experience leading complex manufacturing organizations, driving continuous improvement, and building highly engaged teams will be instrumental as we continue strengthening our operations and positioning the company for long term growth.”

Scocos has spent the past 20 years of his career in the building products industry. Throughout his career, he has led the turnaround of two underperforming businesses, improving operational performance and driving sustainable growth, officials said.

Most recently, he served as president of Arcadia Products, a national manufacturer of aluminum door and window framing systems serving both the commercial and residential building products markets.

“I am excited to join FlexScreen/RiteScreen at such an important time in the company’s growth,” said Scocos. “The organization has built an outstanding reputation for innovation and customer service, and I look forward to working alongside this talented team to strengthen our operations, continue improving performance, and support the next phase of the company’s growth.”

In his new role, Scoco’s initial priorities will focus on addressing delivery and quality performance, advancing the company’s value creation agenda, strengthening operational excellence, and supporting the continued growth of the company’s e-commerce business, officials said.

“Chris joins our organization at an exciting time as we continue integrating our operations, investing in innovation, and building for the future,” added Campos. “His leadership and operational expertise will play a critical role in helping us better serve our customers while supporting the next phase of our growth.”

Revyn Appoints New CEO

Revyn, a steel fenestration company specializing in fire-rated window and door systems, has announced the appointment of Vincent “Vinny” Curran as chief executive officer (CEO).

Curran brings experience in steel fenestration, direct-to-consumer window sales, high-end residential projects and wildfire-resilient building strategies. As CEO, he will lead Revyn’s next stage of growth as the company advances its mission to make beautifully designed, high-performance, fire-ready steel windows more accessible to architects, builders, homeowners, insurers and communities building in wildfire-prone areas.

“Fire country has changed what we have to ask of a window,” said Curran. “For years, architects and homeowners have hardened roofs, vents, siding, and decks but the window has remained one of the least understood parts of the building envelope. Revyn was created to solve that problem from the inside of the frame out.”

Curran’s appointment comes as demand accelerates for better building solutions in California, Colorado and other wildfire-risk regions across the American West.

“Vinny understands both the urgency of the wildfire problem and the practical realities of bringing a better window system to market,” said Pete Hopkins, co-founder and strategic investor at Revyn. “His leadership is grounded in extensive product knowledge, market insights and a strong belief that advanced fire protection should be widely accessible to all and not reserved for the elite few who can afford such solutions.”
