Trimlite Equity L.P. recently announced that it has acquired Barnett Millworks, a distributor of door products and millwork. The Barnett family has been involved in the millwork industry since the 1930s and is in their third generation of ownership, company officials said. The company was founded in 1945 and is headquartered in Theodore, Alabama.
“For more than 80 years, Barnett Millworks has been part of our family and part of this community,” said Paul Barnett, president and CEO of Barnett Millworks. “This decision was made with great care and with the future of our employees and customers at the forefront. We believe Trimlite is the right steward for the company, and we are excited to see Barnett Millworks continue to thrive while honoring the values it was built upon.”
Trimlite was acquired by Wynnchurch Capital L.P. in July 2021.
“Wynnchurch welcomes Barnett Millworks. We are excited to partner with David, Chris, and the whole Barnett Millworks team to continue to grow their business,” said Brian Crumbaugh, partner at Wynnchurch.
Barnett Millworks is the fourth acquisition by Trimlite since Wynnchurch Capital acquired the business and the second in 2026, following the March 2026 acquisition of Harris Door and Millwork.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
