Summer in the Southeast brings thunderstorms, but there’s a different kind brewing for a window company in Mobile, Alabama—a storm of controversy. Window Depot USA of Mobile and its sister company, All Weather Roofing LLC, are under the microscope, as customers for each have contacted local news outlets for help, alleging they failed to complete work for which they were hired. Both have also stopped answering calls, customers allege.
Since the news first broke in May, Window Depot USA of Mobile has gone out of business, though All Weather Roofing was still operational as of June 9, according to the Alabama news site Al.com.
Customers have come forward, filing complaints with the Alabama Home Builder Licensure Board, according to Natalie Williamson of WALA – Mobile and Pensacola. On June 12, Williamson reported that the city of Mobile has put a “hold” on All Weather Roofing’s business license until a public hearing scheduled for July 14, at which time the company’s license could be revoked. Williamson was told by city officials that the license for Window Depot USA of Mobile became inactive at some point in 2026, though she was also told that the city is now looking into when that happened and if “the company has been providing services without one.”
More than 500 people have joined the Facebook group Victims of Window Depot & All Weather Roofing, Mobile Alabama, and upon announcement of the business license having been inactive, some alleged that the company was accepting orders—and money—as recently as April of this year. WALA reports that those who have allegedly lost money to the two companies collectively estimate that they are out approximately $500,000.
News sources note that Window Depot USA’s corporate office cut ties with the local business early last week, quoting the official statement as saying, “[T]hat business is no longer authorized to use the Window Depot name, trademarks, branding or related intellectual property in connection with the conduct of business.”
While Williams reports via WALA that local law enforcement is investigating the companies, no charges have been filed against the owners.
