A new glass manufacturing facility will soon open in Panama City, Florida.

Global Impact Products announced that it will renovate and move into a 100,000-square-foot facility and bring 150 new jobs to the region. Global Impact Products produces commercial and residential glass and vinyl products. It also offers design, fabrication and architectural and impact-resistant glass installation.

“This strategic move is a testament to our continued growth and commitment to serving our customers, as well as positively impacting this North Florida community,” say company officials. “Our new two-story facility will comprise approximately 30,000 square feet of office space and 70,000 square feet of manufacturing space, including six loading docks. This expansion will further enhance our manufacturing capabilities and increase our market reach.”

Global Impact Products is investing $14 million in its new facility. Bay County, home to Panama City, will receive up to $3.75 million in Triumph Gulf Coast grant money to improve the building and property.

According to the Triumph Gulf Coast board, Global Impact Products plans to use the Port of Panama City for raw material imports and Bay County’s southeast United States location to maximize operational and logistical efficiencies. Global Impact Products imports glass from Merida, Mexico.

The company also resides in Pompano Beach, Florida, and is a majority woman-owned business with around 10 to 50 employees. Officials say the facility will be at an industrial park at 6520 Bay Line Drive, near the Port of Panama City. Officials aim to have the facility open by August 2026.
