In its first procurement of 2025, Builders FirstSource has announced the acquisition of O.C. Cluss Lumber & Building Supplies. Founded as a Uniontown, Pennsylvania-based lumber company in 1918, by Otto Charles (O.C.) Cluss, O.C. Cluss Lumber & Building Supplies has built a reputation as a supplier of lumber, building materials, and installation services in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. Of late, day-to-day operations at O.C. Cluss have been run by brothers Christopher and Michael Cluss.
O.C. Cluss Lumber & Building is Builders FirstSource’s fourth acquisition in six months. In August, the BSF bought CRi SoCal from Miter Brands and in October 2024, the JIAN Group announced that Builders FirstSource bought Douglas Lumber. Then, just before Christmas, the company announced it would be acquiring Englewood, Colorado’s Alpine Lumber Company.
