The new year continues to heat up with merger and acquisition activity and expansions within the door and window industry. In addition to St. Cloud Window, which made an announcement this year that it is expanding, and Building Products Inc., which announced its acquisition of Heartland Millwork, Woodgrain and Liteworks Window & Door now have also made similar announcements.

Woodgrain, a manufacturer and distributor of millwork and building materials, recently announced an asset purchase agreement to acquire Kelleher Corp. The transaction is expected to close no later than February 28, 2025.

“Kelleher is a company that we have always admired. Being a family-owned business, Kelleher shares values that resonate deeply with Woodgrain, creating a strong foundation for collaboration, shared success, and market growth,” said Kelly Dame, president and CEO of Woodgrain.

Kelleher Corp. specializes in the distribution of moulding, lumber and doors, serving customers in California, Nevada, and Hawaii, with warehouse facilities in Northern and Southern California, as well as Hawaii. Woodgrain officials say that the acquisition of Kelleher Corp. positions Woodgrain for significant growth in these key markets and is expected to bring enhanced service offerings, increased product availability, and a continued commitment to quality.

“The Kelleher acquisition is a strategic move that aligns with our vertical integration strategy, strengthening our distribution network and enhancing our ability to meet increased customer demand in the pro dealer and home center channels,” said Todd Dame, president of Woodgrain’s distribution division.

Don Kelleher, CEO of Kelleher Corp. added that, “Our shared values, and Woodgrain being a family-owned business played an important role in this decision. We believe that Woodgrain will be a great fit for all the Kelleher employees, vendor partners and loyal customers.”

Meanwhile, Liteworks Window & Door, a portfolio company of The Macallan Group, and a provider of doors and windows, has announced the recent acquisition of Atlanta Specialty Millwork. Likeworks officials say the acquisition enhances the company’s manufacturing capabilities, allowing it to expand its custom millwork solutions and further strengthen its position in the industry.

With the integration of Atlanta Specialty Millwork, Liteworks Window & Door will now offer an expanded range of custom-designed millwork products, including doors, windows, and specialty trim pieces. The acquisition allows Liteworks to leverage Atlanta Specialty Millwork’s reputation for quality craftsmanship and precision, elevating the overall service and product offerings to its customer base, officials said.

“We are excited to welcome Atlanta Specialty Millwork to the Liteworks family,” said Scott Barr, principal of Liteworks Window & Door. “This acquisition aligns perfectly with our mission to provide superior, customizable solutions for our customers. By combining our expertise in high-performance windows and doors with Atlanta Specialty Millwork’s custom capabilities, we can offer a more comprehensive portfolio of products that meet the highest standards of quality and design.”

Liteworks Window & Door’s expanded capabilities will now support a broader range of project types, from luxury residential homes to large-scale commercial developments, company officials said. The move underscores Liteworks’ commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and excellence, the added.

“Atlanta Specialty Millwork’s established track record of delivering high-quality, custom wood products complements our vision for the future,” said Paul Wilfong, Liteworks’ founder, who will remain active in the business. “Together, we will continue to focus on delivering exceptional products that bring aesthetic and functional value to every project.”
