The National Fenestration Rating Council’s (NFRC) board of directors has named two new members to serve a three-year term and reappointed two directors to serve second terms.

Beginning terms in January 2025 are Lauren Westmoreland and Jean-Michel Dussault.

Lauren Westmoreland

Lauren Westmoreland is vice president of energy and sustainability, Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF). She leads SAHF’s environmental initiatives, including Bringing Sustainability Home, a cross-cutting energy and health initiative that aims to ensure that low-income residents and communities have equal access to critical environmental and health benefits. Additionally, the NFRC says Westmoreland is building on the success of The Big Reach, SAHF’s energy and water conservation initiative, to support their members in identifying scalable solutions for a low-carbon future that benefit low-income residents and communities and that mitigate the impact of climate change. Prior to joining SAHF, Westmoreland led the Enterprise Green Communities state and local policy initiative at Enterprise Community Partners and developed and directed the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance’s Built Environment portfolio. Westmoreland served as a member of AmeriCorps where she was a HERS Rater for SystemVision, an energy efficiency program serving the North Carolina single-family affordable housing sector. Westmoreland is a Registered Architect in North Carolina and a LEED AP.

Jean-Michel Dussault

Jean-Michel Dussault is the founder and president of Veridis Solutions Inc. He has 15 years of experience as an engineer specializing in heat transfer and, through his company, provides expert services that promote energy efficiency in fenestration. The NFRC says Dussault’s expertise has directly benefited various cutting-edge research projects that help advance NFRC procedures. He led NFRC research on vacuum insulating glass (VIG), spearheaded the development of the CI Temperature Reading Tool in collaboration with NFRC staff, and assumed leadership roles as chair of CSA A440.2 and chair of the AVFQ Fenestration Technical Committee.

“Both Jean-Michel and Lauren have a depth of experience in their respective fields and bring technical and practical expertise that has direct application to NFRC’s work and mission,” said NFRC CEO Deb Callahan. “They will complement the existing NFRC Board leadership as we move forward in our ambitious three-year strategic plan.”

Amy Boyce, vice president of building energy and climate solutions at WSP United States, and Helen Sanders, general manager of glass insulation North America at Technoform North America, will be entering their second terms on the board.

The NFRC board of directors provides vision, direction and strategic planning leadership for the organization and ensures that programs and policies are in place to support the NFRC mission.
