It’s the season of giving and several door and window companies are spreading joy by doing just that: giving back.

Roto North America donated more than $1,000 to “Seniors for Seniors,” an initiative by the local animal welfare society.

Roto North America donated more than $1,000 to “Seniors for Seniors,” an initiative by the Animal Welfare Society in New Milford, Connecticut. “Seniors for Seniors” waives adoption fees, making it easier for senior citizens to adopt older animals. The Animal Welfare Society says that by making the adoptions easier and less expensive, it “enhances the quality of life” for both the senior animals that need a home and the senior citizens who adopt them.

Officials for Roto North America say the decision to support the “Seniors for Seniors” program was made by the Roto North America employees, collectively, who participated in “various fundraising activities,” like bake sales, a hot dog sale, and an ice cream bar, which were offered on a “pay what you want” basis.

The company says it will continue its mission to give back to the community in 2025, though which local charity it chooses to support has yet to be determined.

West Shore Home is also giving back this holiday season, donating $10,000 to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Along with the donation, West Shore Home employees across the country have donated over 2,000 toys to their local Toys for Tots chapters.

“Every child deserves to have a gift this holiday season,” said B.J. Werzyn, president and CEO of West Shore Home. “I’m proud of our teammates for playing a big part in making that happen and for Bringing Happiness to Every Home.”

This holiday season, West Shore Home partnered with Penn State Football players for a shopping spree. The Nittany Lions purchased about 200 toys that will be donated to the Harrisburg Toys for Tots chapter, which served more than 33,000 children last year and the demand continues to grow.

“We are very pleased to welcome West Shore Home back as a National Corporate Donor of the Marine Toys for Tots Program,” said retired Marine Colonel Ted Silvester, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “With their generous support, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of thousands of less fortunate children, who otherwise might have been forgotten.”

Andersen and its corporate foundation continued their longstanding commitment to philanthropy in 2024, donating more than $5.3 million to nonprofits working to improve lives and strengthen communities. These contributions directly support organizations focused on housing, trades education, hunger, and critical access health care in the communities where Andersen employees live and work.

As part of this $5.3 million, Andersen sponsored the 2024 Habitat for Humanity Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project. The company donated $1 million to Habitat for Humanity for the Carter Work Project, through a combination of in-kind window donations and financial contributions. Additionally, more than 150 Andersen employees volunteered their time and skills during the project, including team members installing Andersen windows on-site during the final day of the week-long event.

“At Andersen, we believe in the power of giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Eliza Chlebeck, vice president of communications and community and vice president of the Andersen Corporate Foundation. “Our donations support a wide range of initiatives, from housing and education to hunger and health care. We are especially proud to support organizations like Habitat for Humanity, contributing to projects like the Carter Work Project, which helps to build brighter futures for families in need. Together, we are fortunate to have the privilege of making a tangible difference in people’s lives and strengthening our communities.”

Andersen officials didn’t stop with giving back to the community this holiday season. Officials announced it would also distribute $50.8 million in profit sharing to eligible employees. That was up to $3,923 per eligible employee as part of the company’s annual profit-sharing program.

“Amid ongoing challenges in the housing market, Andersen continued to grow in 2024. This accomplishment highlights the unwavering dedication, adaptability and resilience of our employees,” said Chris Galvin, president and CEO of Andersen. “We take immense pride in recognizing our employees for embodying our core values and consistently surpassing customer expectations. Our people are the cornerstone of our success, and this profit sharing is a testament to their hard work and unwavering commitment.”

Marvin also announced its 2024 profit sharing to more than 8,000 employees at its annual meeting.

Paul Marvin announced $17 million in profit sharing for more than 7,000 eligible Marvin employees.

This year’s meeting was held via live broadcast from Marvin’s Warroad, Minnesota headquarters, where approximately 1,700 employees gathered in-person. Celebrations at Marvin’s 18 additional locations brought together the majority of its remaining 6,300 employees for localized festivities and a livestream of the Warroad gathering.

“We made significant progress and achieved several notable milestones in 2024,” said Paul Marvin, CEO of Marvin. “From opening a new distribution center in Reno, Nevada, to breaking ground on a new manufacturing facility in Kansas City, Kansas, Marvin is ideally positioned for continuous strategic growth in 2025 and beyond.”

During the meeting, employees also reflected on the company’s ranking on Forbes magazine’s America’s Best Large Employers list.

“I’m proud to celebrate our achievements and the moments of unexpected inspiration we found along the way this year,” said Paul Marvin. “Marvin employees are what make Marvin worthy of recognition, and I’m honored to have been able to celebrate alongside you.”

Paul Marvin announced that more than $17 million in profits would be shared among 7,460 eligible employees across all Marvin locations this year. Full-time employees with more than 1,500 hours worked received a minimum of $1,800 up to nearly $5,400, depending on length of service with the company.

Twenty-five percent of Marvin’s profit-sharing pool was distributed based on employee length of service, further recognizing employee commitment to Marvin. Nearly 15% of Marvin employees have been employed at the company for 20 years or more.
