VEKA has announced the addition of numerous key professionals to its team. According to company officials, these individuals “bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and enthusiasm that aligns seamlessly with VEKA’s core values of caring, acting, and growing.”
John St. John assumes the role of sales account manager for VEKA’s door and window division. Company officials say St. John has an extensive background in the window fabrication industry and a strong track record of success in leadership roles in the hardware and vinyl extrusion segments. Previously with PH Tech in Quebec, Canada, as regional sales manager, and as founder of Aptus Sales Group Inc., his “commitment to customer satisfaction perfectly resonates with VEKA’s mission to prioritize client needs at every step of the way,” officials said. St. John will work under divisional sales manager Jeff Faulk.
As VEKA in-house counsel and compliance officer, Kerstin Kress earned additional responsibilities, developed strong working relationships across departments. Company officials said she became an integral part of the serving leadership program. Her understanding of the company’s values, combined with her expertise in policy and people management, made her well-equipped to become the company’s director of human resources, while upholding her legal obligations. The opportunity comes as part of VEKA’s long-term succession planning.
Shawn McGonigle brings his procurement experience to VEKA as the newly appointed senior buyer. Company officials said that with a background in strategic sourcing and a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management from Duquesne University, McGonigle is well-equipped to lead VEKA’s purchasing efforts and enhance its recycling program. His role will be to optimize procurement processes and drive sustainability initiatives, furthering VEKA’s commitment to the environment. McGonigle will be under the supervision of Laura Thoma, who serves as the director of materials management.
Andrew Sadley, who has a background in mechanical engineering and extensive management experience, joins VEKA as the manager of process engineering and quality. Company officials say his expertise in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and quality management will be instrumental in enhancing VEKA’s safety, operational efficiency and product quality.
Abigail Eck comes from Vesuvius to join VEKA as a human resource generalist, bringing what company officials called “comprehensive knowledge of HR practices and a proven track record” in managing employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration. Eck will report to Kress, the company’s aforementioned new HR director.
Meanwhile, Travis Coble assumes the role of assistant controller, leveraging his 30 years of accounting experience to oversee cash accounting, taxation, and business analysis. Coble will work with Glenn Taborski, treasurer and controller.
Dominic Greco, a seasoned maintenance professional with certifications in electrical maintenance and project management, joins VEKA as a reliability technician. Greco’s expertise in ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime will play a crucial role in optimizing VEKA’s operations and maximizing productivity, company officials said.
